Beginning with Basic Bubbles
This class is intended for beginners interested in understanding the material and how it is possible to create with hot molten glass. Students will learn the necessary steps to creating basic vessel shapes through the use of heat, gravity, and skill building drills. From there, students will learn how to use various colors, how colors can react to one another, and different ways to apply patterns, as well as applying bits, handles and solid feet for functional shapes. Working in teams, using communication and how assisting your lead gaffer will also be explored. No glassworking experience required.
